CESA 1000 – ZEB APPLIED BUILDING SCIENCE – Fall 2019

$350This BCIT course introduces the fundamental principles of building science including heat transfer, vapour diffusion, air flow, and moisture management. Hands-on exercises will be employed to better understand the effect of environmental loads on the building enclosure performance. Students will review the key properties of common construction materials and appropriate applications for said materials. Students will develop their knowledge of building science to support and inform strategies to meet the BC Energy Step Code.
