Kimberley – Making the Links: A Holistic Approach to Improving Airtightness

$155 – $660One day only, this workshop takes the all of the practical, holistic information that Hamid has taught us about walls, glazing, roof and below grade assemblies and shows how to property integrate them into one seamless system, focusing on achieving a continuous air barrier and airtightness. Supported by a wide array of mobile building envelope assemblies, the workshop will showcase various methods of improving airtightness of wood, concrete, and steel-framed buildings. Furthermore, it will explore how the presented methods will impact moisture management, energy efficiency, and thermal comfort and their relationship to long-term durability and adaptability to future repair/renovation.
With the focus on delivering hands-on and interactive learning, this workshop will prepare the industry for the adoption of BC Energy Step Code.
