ZEBx NZER Challenge Design Workshop
November 19 @ 9:00 am - 11:00 am
Free webinar courtesy of ZEBx
While the decision to build a net-zero energy-ready building often makes sense from both an economic and a climate perspective, achieving this in practice does not come without its challenges. From early schematic design to the construction, high-performance targets can come under question as designers strive to meet multiple design goals. Financial, campus planning, municipal permitting, and scheduling constraints are just a few of the challenges designers encounter. Many municipal policies and bylaws do not support (and in some cases inhibit) the uptake of high-performance buildings.
Join ZEBx and Integral Group for a discussion on these and other hurdles faced by developers and design professionals on their road to net-zero energy-ready buildings. The presenters for this webinar will share insights on the obstacles and the ways to successfully navigate them, and will include perspectives from both design professionals and municipal planners. This is your opportunity to learn how best to stay the course when striving for net-zero energy-ready buildings, and share your experiences and input on how remaining hurdles can be removed in your jurisdiction.
