Vancouver’s Future in Passive House
April 24, 2018 @ 7:15 am - 9:15 am$75 – $135
Sponsored by UDI
For developers, companies and consultants involved in the planning, design and construction of buildings, Passive House will be leading the industry energy standard in Vancouver’s imminent future, setting building performance standards high. The City of Vancouver has also set a target for all new buildings to have zero annual greenhouse gas emissions by 2030 or earlier.
Learn from our North American panel about achieving energy efficiency and the Passive House standard in a form that is relevant to the Vancouver market – multi-family residential and high-rise buildings.
Our experts will also provide an overview of several high-rise case studies, to help us understand why so many larger scale Passive House projects are on the books in our region. They will also discuss how to make these projects viable, by explaining what systems are key to energy performance and cost optimization, and sharing several field-tested approaches.
