Where: Fairmont Empress Hotel in Victoria
The Regional Education Program offers two days of seminars that qualify for up to 15 CPD points, an all-day trade show on March 19, and an industry networking reception. The seminars include Hazardous Materials in Buildings, Building Smart with Site and Foundation Drainage, and Improving the Culture of Safety in Residential Construction.
On March 19, the lunchtime keynote presentation will begin with a builder licensing update from Wendy Acheson, Vice-President and Registrar, Licensing and Consumer Services branch of BC Housing. That will be followed by a presentation from Zachary May, Acting Director of Policy and Codes Development with the Building Safety and Standards Branch. Zachary will provide an update on the BC Energy Step Code, explaining how it can add value to builder projects. He will also discuss what builders can expect related to B.C. codes in 2018.
