BUILT BETTER Session 1: Airtightness for Roofs and Decks in Part 9 Homes

FortisBC has launched a new program — BUILT BETTER — to provide the homebuilding industry with resources to build better performing homes.
As part of this new initiative, FortisBC, in partnership with HAVAN, CHBA BC, and CHBA Fraser Valley, is delivering a four-part workshop series: A Holistic Approach to Improving Air Tightness. Each of the four workshops is designed to be highly interactive and hands-on.
September 24 will be the first session with a focus on roofs and decks. Building Envelope Consultant, Hamid Heidarali of Hamid Design Build, will take an in-depth, hands on exploration of air tightness in Part 9 buildings, supported by 40 mobile building envelope assemblies and various applicable case studies.
