Building Smart: Building Envelope Guide for Houses
February 27 @ 9:00 am - 12:00 pm
Join in-person or by webinar.
Part 9 residential construction is evolving and the Building Envelope Guide for Houses has now been updated to reflect many new and expanded industry methods. This includes proven techniques and high-performance assemblies that support advances in energy efficiency and seismic provisions. A new section also explores Insulated Concrete Form construction for houses.
This expanded guide is an excellent resource for home builders, designers, trades and others. Step-by-step construction detail descriptions and full colour 3D images offer practical applications. New for this guide are comprehensive, 2D section details of the wall assemblies.
In particular, this session will look at revisions and changes that have evolved as a result of two major code changes, and the addition of the BC Energy Step Code for energy efficiency in homes.
