Building Better with the Energy Step Code – Campbell River

Description
The Community Energy Association and City of Campbell River are hosting this workshop for builders & tradespeople, designers and building officials to learn how to build to the BC Energy Step Code – a new provincial framework aimed at creating healthier, more efficient and more comfortable buildings.
Attendees will earn 6.5 CPD credits (Group A) from BC Housing and are eligible for credits through the Building Officials Association of BC.
Overview
The workshop features presentations by Niels Anthonsen of Enerlytics Engineering, Cristi Sacht of Elemental Energy Advisors, representatives of the City of Campbell River and Comox Valley Regional District, and a staff member from FortisBC. In the afternoon, participants will experience a blower door demonstration at a local home.
The workshop is free thanks to funding from BC Hydro, FortisBC, BC Housing, and the Province of BC. A continental breakfast, coffee break, buffet lunch, and free parking are included.
