The Energy Step Code is changing the way we understand energy efficiency in buildings. Introduced in the BC Building Code in April 2017 as a voluntary standard, this outcome based code is a sign of where codes and standards are headed in the future. Under the standard, every building will need an energy model and airtightness test.
