The British Columbia Institute of Technology (BCIT) is offering a suite of courses tailored to busy construction professionals allowing you to enhance your toolbox with the knowledge and skills to build to the BC Energy Step Code. The new courses focus on hands on training and construction problem-solving ensuring your learning occurs by practicing activities in BCIT’s High Performance Building Lab.
Course Details
This course helps the students advance their construction knowledge and skills with respect to building envelope design, construction and performance verification. The course focuses on specific strategies to ensure airtightness of final assembly with an emphasis on detailed solutions for managing critical control barriers in various assemblies with a focus on residential buildings (Part 9 Buildings). Students will develop their knowledge of airtightness practices to meet the BC Energy Step Code.
This course has online and in-person components.
